List from "A map of the Ecclesiastical Divisions within the County of London, 1903" published by Edward Stanford of London, reprinted as a facsimile by the London Topographical Society. Parishes within the rural deanery of Kensington in 1903 were all sub-divisions of the ancient parish of St Mary Abbots. They are in the Archdeaconry of Middlesex, and the Diocese of London. We have a list of other deaneries.
Dates of creation of parishes are mainly taken from Brian Fisk's list which shows progressive splitting of parishes. Dates of building are mainly taken from Pevsner's "The Buildings of England - London 3: North West" (1991 edition, Cherry and Pevsner). Original registers are mostly deposited in the London Metropolitan Archives. In the list below, the name of the church as it appears in their database is shown (in capitals). Contact details for churches now are on the Diocese of London church finder or their list for Kensington Deanery which give addresses, email and phone numbers and have grid references.
