"ST. LUKE'S OLD STREET, a parish in the Finsbury division of the hundred of Ossulstone, county Middlesex, 1 mile N. of St. Paul's. It was anciently part of St. Giles's, Cripplegate, and is now included within the metropolitan borough of Finsbury, containing Finsbury, Bartholomew, and King squares, the New Artillery Grounds, Bonhill Fields Cemetery, the City Basin of the Regent's Canal, and the liberties of the City-road, E. and W. Finsbury, Goldenlane, Old-street, and Whitecross-street. See Finsbury and London.
