"BRAMLEY, a parish in the first division of the hundred of Blackheath, in the county of Surrey, 3 miles to the S. of Guildford, its post town. It is intersected by the Arun and Wey canal.The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Winchester, value £160, in the patronage of the lord chancellor. The church is partly in the early English style, and is dedicated to the Holy Trinity. There are some charitable endowments worth £6 per annum. Bramley House is the seat of Captain Wyndham."
