Esher

"ESHER, a parish in the second division of the hundred of Elmbridge, county Surrey, 4 miles S.W. of Kingston, 4 N.E. of Chobham, and 15 from London. It is situated on the old Portsmouth road, and the river Mole passes on the W. of the parish. The South-Western railway has a station here."
