Limpsfield

"LIMPSFIELD, a parish in the first division of the hundred of Tandridge, county Surrey, 4½ miles E. of Godstone, its post town, and 10 from Croydon. The village is large, but principally agricultural. It is situated on the road from Croydon to Maidstone. Chalk is quarried for burning into lime. The tithes have been commuted for a rent-charge of £694."
