I.D.E.A.London has been sanctioned by the exhibitions department of the ICA to use its space and develop a project to investigate and challenge the nature of the art institution. However, we are not a programmed part of the institution and are working around the official programme in limited circumstances and with no budget. As such we are not supported by the ICA’s framework – we are conceptually squatting.
I.D.E.A.London, as a curatorial collective, has invited artists and other arts practitioners to collaborate in this project. We will attempt to facilitate their ideas using any means possible.
I.D.E.A.London will be a continuously evolving, spontaneous project and is open to new ideas for collaboration.
