Experimental Music

I am interested in musical experimentation, particularly in sequences of sounds derived from environmental (including technological) sources as well as purely algorithmically derived signals. I am attracted by ambiguous soundscapes and acoustic textures, in the regions between the rhythmic and the chaotic. I use no traditional instruments, but rather techniques to manipulate and distort existent sounds and signals, such as ring modulation, pitch shifting and editing sounds at very short time scales. I am interested in psychoacoustic effects such as binaural beats and Shepard tones, and how these effects change our perception of everyday sounds.
