ORGANISING MEETING, 13 JANUARY

Updates

The woman from NZ whose application was denied due to clerical errors has had her money refunded by the College.
The Education and Politics department have now stated opposition to the new rules (to be confirmed), as has the Economics department at SOAS. More t-shirts will be ready in approximately 2 weeks; we already have badges.

1. Communications

Jesse + Luke will start a blog to document the stories (with videos to be
posted on Youtube etc), and will also include guidelines and advice
Action point: ask Media/Comms. students to get involved.
Facebook group to be set up. Kirsten has set up a list on Aktivix.

2. Leaflet and Stall
Leaflet/table at Loafers during lunch hour every day next week, to
raise awareness of the issues as there is little understanding of what is
going on.

Action point: Kirsten and Jennifer to work on leaflet. Anyone who wants
material in there to email Kirsten at gucu-admin@gold.ac.uk.

Sign-up for stall/leafleting lunchtime next week (meet at Loafers at noon)

Departmental representatives to find out how attendance information is
taken in each department, so we can formulate a strategy to lobby staff
and students in each department to oppose the rules.
This was postponed as there was nobody present from certain departments.
Media/Comms and Anthropology to meet separately.

ACTION POINT: Spread the word as much as possible.

4. Students/staff to make presentations in lectures/seminars about the campaign

We should all do this.

5. Letter from students to clerical staff in MRC and Student Records.
WHO WILL TAKE THIS ON?
